The War on Motherhood

The democrats in their never ending quest to offend honest American values in whatever form they might take have put motherhood in their crosshairs. Hillary Rosen a democrat political operative and adviser to the President of the United States stated publicly that Ann Romney wife of GOP primary hopeful Mitt Romney has never worked a day in her life. Ann Romney a woman who battled cancer and MS, while raising five children to be fine young adults, in the liberal mindset has never worked.

Much of the conservative media in their effort to one up the liberal media have begun calling this latest democrat assault on all things decent “Obama’s war on women”.  They are wrong. Obama and the rest of the liberal horde do not have a problem with women and they certainly don’t want a war with them. Women vote and assuming they have been indoctrinated into the right victims group they vote democrat. Women are important to the liberal cause, where would the original Republican war on women be if Sandra Fluke hadn’t been there to trot out and whine to the nation about the cost of managing her sex life. Democrats love women, remember Bill Clinton prominent democrat and former President of the United States, who loved women more than Bill Clinton? Sure, he didn’t love all women, but he loved as many as he could.

Gloria Steinem liberal democrat and well known radical feminist once said that women were in more danger at home than on the streets and that many women were just a man away from welfare, so basically they aren’t safe at home because there is a man there and without the man they’re only hope is the kindness of the taxpaying public, many of which are men. Liberals especially radical feminist liberals think there is something offensive about a woman choosing to be a wife and mother; they seem to feel as though motherhood isn’t important unless you have the right kind of career to validate the decision to have kids. This is the kind of thinking that is shaping the minds of the next generation of deadbeat parents.

Personally I am a firm believer in the pursuit of happiness; have kids, have a career, have both. What I don’t understand is what democrats have against motherhood. What could anyone ever do whether they are a man or a woman that could possibly be more important than raising children to become responsible and productive adults. Perhaps that’s the answer, responsible and productive adults aren’t victims and generally have no use for the democrat party and the nanny state. Could it be this unwarranted assault on mothers is just an end run attack on the much maligned and despised American family?

For more than a generation the liberals in academia, the media and especially within the democrat party, have worked to devalue the role of family and especially mothers in our society, is it any wonder so many people are dependent on the government to provide them with the basic necessities of life, isn’t the occupy movement really just a bunch of whiney babies looking to replace the mommy they never had, someone to feed them, clothe them, provide them with free education and healthcare and maybe tuck them in at night.

Our creator in his infinite wisdom endowed each of us at birth with an inalienable right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness, for everything else he gave us mothers.

Pursuing Authenticity

The death of Trayvon Martin at the hands of a member of a local neighborhood watch program is a tragedy regardless of the circumstances. Being a responsible citizen who essentially writes political commentary as a hobby and can in no way be associated with the professional journalists of the main stream media, (thank God) I will not condemn or defend anyone involved, basically because I don’t have all the details, have not interviewed witnesses or the police who investigated the matter and am content to wait for the local officials to complete their investigation.

Barrack (He whose middle name may not be mentioned) Obama, also known as President of the United States should realize what a mistake it is to comment before all the facts have been gathered. Clearly he has forgotten the lessons learned at the beer summit, and has chosen once again to comment before having all the facts. President Obama believes that if he had a son he would look like Trayvon Martin. I think his son would be skinnier with bigger ears but I didn’t attend Harvard law so what do I know. President Obama has suggested that this is a situation that requires all of us to do a little soul searching, the implication being that we are all a little guilty of creating an environment where a seventeen year old kid, involved in an altercation with the local neighborhood watchman is not safe.

Having never been part of a neighborhood watch program I decided that I had no reason to search my soul and instead chose to wonder why of all the tragic deaths that have occurred since his election does he feel the need to comment on this one. I have concluded that since he did not take part in the civil rights movement and has been accused of not being authentic enough, he is attempting to make up for it by inserting  himself into situations where the White House has no real need to be.

When full time charlatans like Al Sharpton, practice this type of race baiting its more annoying than offensive. No one who remembers the Tawanna Brawley case gives any credit to anything which spills from Reverend Sharptons mouth, but when the White House, and members of Congress use the death of a young man as a means to a political ends that is just despicable.

In 2010 several Congressmen staged a provocative march through a crowd of protestors. Pelosi and several of her henchmen were certain they would get at least one racial slur from what they characterized as an angry mob. However in spite of all the cameras and microphones present no evidence of racism or any other bad behavior was found, at least not on the part of the protestors.  Our elected representatives however would not allow something as trivial as a lack of evidence deter them from making irresponsible and offensive allegations, one congressman even claimed to have been spit on. Yet to date, and in spite of the offer of a generous cash reward, no evidence to support the claim has been offered.

The President of the United States and members of Congress are using Trayvon Martin as the smoking gun, or “spittle” that was never produced back in 2010, to prove that the United States is a hateful, racist and intolerant country, and creating an atmosphere of racial unrest to draw attention away from their own failures. With his signature health care legislation circling the drain at the Supreme Court and his economic stimulus effort having been shown to be a complete failure while his continued effort to bankroll a green energy movement using the taxpayer’s money has resulted in one embarrassment after another, Obama and the democrats need a distraction.

To Obama and the democrat members of congress Trayvon Martin is nothing more than political sleight of hand, a badly needed illusion to replace the recent war on women, which lasted about as long as a twelve pack of condoms in Sandra Fluke’s dorm room. The fact that the Obama administration has nothing to campaign on is pretty sad when you consider that for his first two years in office he essentially controlled the Federal government, if he had chosen to do so he could have turned the United States into a liberal wasteland from sea to shining sea, but he didn’t, for the same reason the democrat controlled Senate has refused to pass a budget since Obama took office. Despite all of their passionately espoused liberal views the democrats from Barrack Obama right down to the most junior democrat member of congress hold one desire dearer than all others, the desire to be reelected.

A Slut by any other name

This week in the news we are debating the appropriateness of referring to a young woman who chose to testify (or whine) about the cost of contraception and its impact on her sex life. Some heard this alleged young woman/victim of Georgetown Universities health care policies, testimony as evidence that she is perhaps a bit loose with her sexual favors. I being a father to two grown women was simply mortified on behalf of this Childs father, it’s hard to imagine how it must feel to hear someone you raised to near adulthood, whining about the fact that she is having so much sex she can’t afford the cost of proper contraceptive measures.

Let’s be clear about one thing I believe that while this young ladies testimony was little more than shameless prostituting of herself on behalf of liberalism, I do not believe that her parents deserved to hear their little girl referred to as a slut.  I also do not believe that this is a topic that bears much discussion, if anything this child’s inability to mange her sex life is a slap in the face to the academic elites who claim to be preparing our young men and women for adulthood, it would appear they are preparing them for a remake of the movie, Animal House.

We are currently paying an average of more than four dollars a gallon for gas, unemployment remains high, and the economy, by virtue of our insanely irresponsible national debt has never been more unstable. Our President apologizes to religious fanatics in Afghanistan while waging war against Christianity at home. The cost of gasoline alone is devastating the economy because it impacts the cost of everything else. What good does it do for Obama to promise to keep your taxes at their current rate, assuming that you make below the $250,000.00 dollar poverty level, when the cost of living is spiraling out of control, driven by the cost of gas.

Our country is facing a lot of serious problems and the very least of them is whether or not the cost of birth control is fair to some adolescent party girl. Miss Fluke was offended by being referred to as a slut by a single radio commentator, well I am offended by the assumption that this issue is about you and your libido. This is an issue of religious freedom an issue which goes right to the heart of our constitutionally established liberties. The President of the United States has no business telling anyone what they are required to provide let alone that they must do it in violation of their religious beliefs.

Miss Fluke chose to make public her sex life when she agreed to testify about it in what is arguably the most public forum in the world, as a result she has been offended by the views of people who were listening. Imagine Miss Fluke, how offended you are going to be if you should get your way on the issue of birth control, because if you are going to make the government (for conservatives, read taxpayers)responsible for helping you manage your sex life then you can expect to see the government(taxpayers) weighing  in on the issue pretty regularly.

Apologize for what?

Barack Hussein Obama, Apologizer in Chief for the United States of America, issued an apology to Hamid Karzai, corruptocrat and chief demagogue of the nation of Afghanistan on behalf of the U.S. Armed Forces for the completely unintentional burning of some Islamic religious texts that had been defiled by several terrorists who were using them to relay messages to each other while incarcerated.

The texts in question were copies of the Koran, removed from prisoner’s cells and placed in storage awaiting disposition instructions. These texts along with other things that were once the property of terrorist prisoners were then taken out to be burned, as soon as the Korans were seen in the fire, workers acted quickly to remove them. There was no attempt at covering up the incident as it was just an unfortunate accident, and both the commander of our forces in Afghanistan as well as our Chief Apologizer here quickly issued apologies, although for what I have no idea.

Personally I am against burning any type of books, knowledge should be respected and preserved with the exception of say; anything written by Al Franken or Michael Moore, gibberish should be treated as gibberish. Religious texts whether you agree with their content or not offer insight into what people think and why. Religion, as we have seen over the past several days in the Middle East, is a powerful motivator and the religious texts at issue here, may have contained useful intelligence courtesy of their former terrorist owners, so there is plenty of reason for the military authorities in Afghanistan to want those Korans preserved and absolutely no reason to want them destroyed. Like I said I have no idea what we are apologizing for.

The content of the hand delivered letter of apology sent to the leader of Afghanistan has not been made public, although the President’s personal mouth piece, Jay Carney has spent a lot of time defending it. Whatever the letter says it has done more to inflame violence in Afghanistan and the rest of the Middle East, than a Florida Pastor burning Korans in the Everglades, and for what? The response from Hamid Karzai was a demand that the guilty party be tried and punished. What guilty party is he talking about and what is this party guilty of?

I don’t really believe anyone expected Karzai to be gracious and accept Obama’s apology, being gracious is not something he has come to be known for. The Taliban, former rulers of Afghanistan, oppressed women destroyed people’s homes and businesses, kept an entire nation living in fear and ignorance and often used the Koran as justification for their acts of brutality. Where were the uprisings, the demonstrations, the public unrest? Where was the great Hamid Karzai then? Under the Taliban this sort of thing wouldn’t even have prompted a stern letter to the editor of the local paper, so why all the furor now.

Can we be insured against failed Presidents

I was recently devastated to learn that my Auto Insurance coverage does not include the most expensive part of owning and operating a motor vehicle in Obama’s America, I had to pay for my own gas. I filled up my truck and I went inside to show the attendant my insurance card and pay my deductible and he looked at me like I was crazy. I tried to explain to him that in the new Obama State I was certain that because driving was so central to everyday life and you can’t drive without gas, (at least not until the solar power and battery companies we keep investing billions of tax dollars in stop going bankrupt)that certainly my insurance must cover gasoline. Sadly I could not persuade the young man working behind the counter of the validity of my point of view and was asked to either pay for my gas or he would call the police.

In Obama’s America the price of gas has gone from about $1.69 a gallon to an average price of nearly $4.00 in only three years, the price of birth control has remained about the same. AAA estimates the average driver travels 12,000 miles per year and the average vehicle gets approximately 22.5 Miles Per Gallon for a total of 533 gallons or $1600.00 dollars a year at $3.00 dollars a gallon. Contraception typically costs about $20.00 a month or $240.00 a year.

Obama appears to believe that we are paying too much for birth control and not enough for gasoline. I cite as an example his recent decision to kill the Keystone Pipeline deal eliminating more than 20,000 good jobs and further delaying the possibility of reasonably priced gasoline for the American driver. On the flip side he has just mandated that all insurance coverage include birth control even where there are religious objections. Never mind the fact that he has no constitutional authority to tell a private company what they must sell, he is even insisting that hundreds of years of religious teachings be set aside to accommodate his assault on individual liberty in America.

A reasonable person applying even the meager critical thinking skills taught in our public schools, could understand why gasoline and oil changes are not part of the insurance plan that every owner of an automobile in the United States must have, so where does the idea that our health insurance must pay for aspirin, band-aids and birth control come from. Insurance is intended to cover the catastrophic events in people’s lives that have the potential for financial ruin like; a car accident, house fire, or major heart surgery. The smaller day to day events of a person’s life such as vehicle maintenance, yard work and family planning should be up to the individual, and by individual I do not mean whatever individual happens to inhabit the oval office.

The real question here is why are liberals so determined to force this plan on the public when most methods of contraception are relatively inexpensive, why risk trampling religious freedom and the wrath of the bitter clingers living in the wilds of Americas fly over country over what amounts to about twenty dollars a month? Perhaps the issue here is not so much about contraception as it is about protecting and expanding access to abortion. Once the issue of birth control becomes so central to the lives of American women that it is a mandated part of every insurance program it is only a short leap for the next incompetent liberal boob we put in the White house to mandate that every insurance plan cover abortion. After all what is abortion if not a form of birth control, actually in a very strict sense it’s the only form of birth control. Contraception prevents a baby from being conceived, abortion prevents a baby from being born.

I know that this sounds like the kind of word parsing that liberal democrats are famous for but that’s the point. This is the party that gave us a President that wanted to debate the definition of the word “is”. This is the party that continually rewrites history, redefines values, and would have us believe that the ideals upon which this great nation was founded are out of date and in some cases evil. No matter what your position is on the topic of abortion, the mad quest for power that this administration has embarked on has got to be stopped, what this country really needs is an insurance plan that protects us from liberals.

Liberal Declaration of Dependence

When in the course of current events it becomes expedient for a group of peoples to attach themselves in a parasitic fashion to another group of peoples in order to assume for themselves the separate but equal station which they feel they deserve but have done nothing to earn and lacking any respect for themselves or mankind as a whole still feel compelled to declare what it is they’re whining about.

We hold these things to be true because of the absence of relevant fact to the contrary. People are created as haves or as have not’s and that the Have Not’s having survived the hostilities of the womb and emerged into the cold and cruel world that is these United States of America are entitled to a bunch of mostly unintelligible rights and entitlements, among these are the right  to free housing free healthcare and free education. To secure these entitlements governments should only be chosen by the have not’s for the purpose of ensuring the have’s always pay their fair share, fair being defined as whatever it takes. Further whenever a government becomes hostile to these ideals through the unfair replacement of the have not’s representatives by representatives of the haves who are well known to be racist homophobes the people have the right to occupy their parks, public and even private lands in the effort to bring down that government and replace it with one founded on the principles of community organizations such as ACORN. Experience has shown that the have not’s are usually disposed to   cave in to the demands of the haves in order to make them shut up and go away so in order to fully rectify the long train of abuses of the have not’s by the haves let us establish a government willing to use the ideals of tax and spend to further the cause of the have not’s and really stick it to the haves. The history of the United States being a history of greed and racism with the intent of ensuring that the haves get to keep most of what they claim to have earned while keeping the have not’s in a perpetual state of barely scraping by let these facts be submitted to a media that is sympathetic to our cause and will not ask too many questions or explore the issue in too much detail.

The haves have attacked the have not’s by their assault on organized labor through the use of a ploy called “Right to Work”

The haves have refused to allow passage of laws permitting large groups of people from neighboring countries to freely enter the country and take advantage of free government programs. They object to this because they are racists.

The haves establishment of hostile, racist and homophobic  organizations such as the “tea party” for the purpose of holding the government of the have not’s accountable in their spending an act of intolerance which can only interfere with the right of the have not’s to continue to leech off of the haves.

The haves have attempted to destroy public education and end the attempted indoctrination of their children with the unacceptable demand that teachers be held accountable

The haves continue to cling bitterly to their guns bibles and antiquated ideas regarding the constitution a document that is almost as antiquated as the bible and just as irrelevant in modern day America

We therefore as the representatives of the occupying .99% who are currently inhabiting the parks and other lands both public and private for the purpose of making a nuisance of ourselves in a shameless effort to get our way do declare our continued and endless dependence on the productive members of a cruel and heartless America. And for support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on our allies in the media, we mutually pledge for ourselves the lives fortunes and sacred honor of those fortunate enough to have such things.

Being a liberal means never having to say you’re responsible

During the administration of President George W. Bush a handful of soldiers were foundto be mistreating war prisoners at the Abu Ghraib prison in Baghdad, Iraq. The media;being very sensitive to this sort of thing, since apparently most of them were teased relentlessly in High School, immediately accused President Bush and his administration of war crimes and demanded an investigation. The recent incident involving a small group of U.S. Marines urinating on dead Taliban terrorists brought a wholesale indictment of American armed forces but no effort to lay responsibility at the feet of Barack Obama or his administration, and of course there was no effort on the part of the Obama administration to accept responsibility for the actions of soldiers under his command.

Urinating on anyone living or dead is in exceptionally poor taste unless it’s at a Chris Dodd or Barney Frank fundraiser and the responsible individuals should be harshly reprimanded; the incident did not however deserve the firestorm of media attention it received. Was it an embarrassment to our armed services? Yes it was, but on a par with the way a U.S. Congressman (liberal democrat) sending inappropriate pictures of himself to teenage girls is an embarrassment to the House of Representatives. We didn’t indict the entire system for the bad behavior of one pervert and we shouldn’t be doing it now.

Democrat administrations get credit when things go according to plan, but none of the blame when things go wrong. Republican administrations are just the opposite, when the department of labor or any other agency announces a program which the media sees as beneficial to their causes they give credit to the agency never the republican administration; Obama’s administration gets credit if the National Weather Service is right two days in a row.

During the so called Arab Spring when people all across the middle east began protesting the abuses of their governments and demanding more personal liberty, the Obama administration was quick to accept credit for laying the groundwork, claiming that the whirlwind apology tour our president embarked on early in his administration had emboldened people and given them hope, but there is very little chance that he will either accept responsibility for the resulting collapse of relatively stable governments and the ensuing chaos that springs up out of the ashes as militant groups like Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood vie for power. Obama was quick to order our military to intervene in Libya and happy to accept credit for the downfall of the Libyan strongman Muammar Gadaffi, but where is he on the efforts of the Syrian people to bring down their totalitarian government, will he be held responsible for the continued human rights abuses of the Syrian government or the deaths of innocent people caught up in a situation not of their own making, why Libya but not Syria?

The Solyndra corporation was given half a billion dollars of the tax payers money to advance the kind of bankrupt thinking that Obama believes is key to Americas economic future. Not one job was created, our money is gone, (That’s right I said our money!) and all questions to determine what happened to it have been met with stonewalling and Fifth Amendment pleas. The taxpaying public deserves to know what happened to their money and Obama claims the republican investigation is going too far and interfering with his administration’s ability to govern. When they say interfering with their ability to govern you should read that as interfering with their ability to spend our money on things that will help his reelection effort. Where is the media outrage and the demand for accountability that accompanies everything a republican administration does?

The Obama administration has been an overwhelming failure and yet there has been very little effort by the media to hold him responsible for any of his mistakes. Thousands of jobs were sacrificed on the altar of environmentalism when the keystone pipeline deal was killed and Obama doesn’t accept any responsibility for it, he says it was the decision of the state department; could it be he doesn’t know that the state department works for him?

Liberals could solve a lot of problems if they worked as hard at finding real solutions as they do at ducking responsibility, so I suggest they take the path of least resistance, if they really want to avoid responsibility the smart move would be; don’t run for office, of course how often do liberals do the smart thing?

Media Madness

The media, the so called fourth estate; print and broadcast journalists, writers of television and movie scripts, ad and marketing people, an entire industry in which nine out of ten people vote democrat and identify with liberal policies and ideals.

On a recent episode of what I am told is a fairly popular sitcom a toddler drops an F*** bomb as a means of entertaining their viewing audience. A luxury car manufacturer (Mercedes) is currently using the image of a notorious mass murder and psychopath Che Guevara to sell automobiles to a public they consider too stupid to know who and what he is. Late night comedians and talk show hosts continue to use the family of former Vice Presidential candidate and Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin as fodder for their sad brand of liberal comedy and investigative journalists who actually investigate Democrat candidates are about as common as verifiable Loch Ness Monster sightings. Are these really the people we want to rely on to choose our Presidential candidate?

The media says that Herman Cain is a womanizer and a misogynist and we withdraw our support, they say Michelle Bachman is unelectable and we withdraw our support, they claim Newt Gingrich has to much baggage to win and we withdraw our support, then they tell us Mitt Romney is the guy their worried about and we trip over each other in a mad rush to vote for him. Republicans are behaving like the stupid sheep that liberals believe most Americans to be. Why in the name of logic and reason would we rely on people who think a two year old saying F*** on prime time TV is cute to guide us in making an informed choice about anything let alone our candidate for president. I am not saying that Romney is the wrong guy or that any of the other candidates are the right one, what I am saying is that we have to stop allowing the media to influence our choice.

Lately there has been a lot of criticism of Barack Obama in the media and many people point to this as the beginning of the end; it’s not, it’s just the beginning of their end game.  The media is simply laying the ground work necessary for a miraculous rebound by candidate Obama as the actual election draws near. Once the GOP candidate is chosen you will see a tidal wave of stories about economic improvement and declining unemployment and the criticism today merely makes the phony stories of tomorrow seem credible, especially to a public willing to buy high priced automobiles being sold by Che Guevara.

The guy in a tinfoil hat claiming he just saw Elvis having lunch with big foot has at least as much credibility as most journalists. When the once great Dan Rather claimed he had the goods on President Bush no amount of hard evidence could stop him from presenting his counterfeit documents as genuine, and even when the network decided they couldn’t continue to support his story he continued to claim that even though his documents might be fake no one was denying the underlying facts. Why should anyone have to deny the underlying “facts” supported by phony documents? In my view every story Dan Rather ever worked on, particularly the ones involving Republican office holders should be called into question.

The media claims to be able to present news in a fair and balance manner, and they probably can; if the story is a burning building and the only ones hurt are greedy Republican capitalists. The media will always view political events through the distorted filter provided by their college professors; Republicans lie, Democrats misspeak, Republicans steal, Democrats commit minor administrative errors. When the media interviews a Republican they ask questions about foreign affairs in remote backwater countries, when they interview Democrats they ask them tough questions like; how great is it to be you?

Barrack Obama has been an absolute disaster as President and nothing is more important than sending him home. We the people; using the power of the ballot box, have the power to change the course of our countries future, but with this power comes an awesome responsibility. We must decide who we are as a people. Are we the descendants of pioneers and trail blazers ready and willing to take on the world and make the best life that we can for ourselves or are we victims and whiners preferring to rely on whatever safety net our government is able to provide.

The Magic of Smoke and Mirrors

Fall is approaching fast and like so many of the other seasonal markers; Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, it seems like the new election cycle starts sooner every election year. This year begins with the media, also known as the public relations arm of the Democrat National Committee, discussing what President Obama can do to recapture the magic of 2008. I think that the logical place to start would be by realizing that the magic of 08 was really just a lot of smoke and mirrors, the mantra of hope and change has been replaced by I hope we change Presidents.
Barrack (he whose middle name may not be mentioned) Obama, is not the most unqualified person to run for President, but he is easily the most unqualified person to actually get the job. The past two years have been nothing short of a national tragedy as this Illinois community organizer capitalized on the media hype which launched him into the white house to accomplish great things like; the beer summit, the auto industry takeover, the student loan takeover, the insurance industry and healthcare takeover. This man has taken over everything except responsibility for the state of the economy, which he continues to blame on George W. Bush.
Barack Obama the one time agent of hope and change quickly became the agent of blame and deny, as he continually reminded the media that he inherited a struggling economy and high unemployment from his predecessor President Bush. While it is certainly true the economy was struggling to recover from the incessant tinkering of democrats going back as far as the Carter administration; tinkering which lead to the inevitable bursting of the subprime loan bubble, and the collapse of the American housing industry. However unemployment at the time of President Obama’s election was well below 8 percent, a mark that his economic advisers assured us it would never reach if their plan for economic recovery were implemented, but much like the wares of any other snake oil salesman their plan turned out to be just another foul tasting concoction with no real benefits, except of course to their allies in the unions.
There can be no question that at the time President Bush left office the economy was struggling to deal with problems that leaders in congress had simply denied or ignored for far too long, and by far too long I mean more than fifty years, but because they are politicians the future is never further away than their next election so they did what they have always done, what they continue to do even today after seeing firsthand what can result from congressional inaction, they simply pushed the problem down the road and hoped for the best, meaning they hoped they hadn’t done anything which might upset their reelection efforts.
Every President of the United States inherits the problems of his predecessor as well as the successes, they know that going in, maybe if Barrack Obama the U.S. Senator from the nearly bankrupt state of Illinois had found the time to show up for work more often he would have been better prepared and perhaps might even have considered not running at all since the problems he inherited are obviously not in his area of expertise. The problems America currently faces are big, they’re always big. We are the world’s only superpower; we send our son’s and daughter’s to the most remote corners of the world to confront evil in whatever form it takes and they do it without question, without regret and without the need to point the finger of blame at anyone. Our citizen farmers feed the world; our charitable organizations house the homeless and provide food and clothing to people in time of need, for decades our nation and its people have been the targets of terrorists, tyrants and rogue nations whose leaders simply have no respect for human life. Like any other Country we have endured our share of tragedies some natural (hurricane Katrina) and some not (Gulf Oil Spill) and if all of that isn’t enough we also play host to the United Nations, so yes we know Mr. President you inherited some problems, but you also inherited the greatest economic and military power that the world has ever seen, you inherited the stewardship of a country that put a man on the moon, eradicated dozens of diseases, overcame a great depression just in time to win a global conflict and eventually went on to survive four years of Jimmy Carter.
The job of President of these great United States is tough even when things are at their best, there is no time for on the job training, you are either up to the task or you aren’t. A real leader would see America’s problems as a personal challenge and an opportunity to demonstrate leadership, not point fingers and assign blame. The twenty first century has brought with it new challenges as countries that have long been hostile to America’s interests begin to emerge from the dark ages of communism and compete for jobs and markets which were once unquestionably ours. We continually find ourselves falling further and further behind to nations which a few short years ago were little more than backwater dictatorships and banana republics. Winning the future is going to require a leader with the heart of a warrior, who embodies the pioneer spirit of our ancestors and who believes in the exceptionalism of our nation and in the potential of its people, it’s time to replace hope with action.

Tea Party Wins

The recent debate over the debt ceiling has finally
concluded with the main stream media declaring the Tea Party the big winners.
Thank God we won because I shudder to imagine the carnage we would be dealing
with if we had lost. What exactly did our big victory produce? Trillions of
dollars in new debt have been piled on to the shoulders of the already
overburdened American tax payer, new spending on so called shovel ready jobs;
which will help no one, create nothing useful, and eventually lead to the need for
more new debt so that we can protect the investment we’ve already made. This is
a victory? This is a big win for the Tea Party?

The main stream media believes that because the deal did not
include taxes on the rich, meaning anyone with a job that the Tea Party was
able to force Congress into merely allowing trillions in new debt and new
spending and this is to their feeble little minds, somehow a victory. When the
so called “Bush tax cuts” expire our taxes will go up, that’s a tax increase.
When Obamacare kicks in, a nearly unlimited number of new taxes kick in with it
this too is a tax increase. New spending on all these wonderful shovel ready
jobs is only going to result in new budget items that can never be done away
with and further tighten the noose around the taxpaying public.

The only positive thing to come from the debt negotiations
was the irrefutable proof of what a complete failure Obama is as President. The
only shovel ready thing coming from this administration comes out of Obama’s
mouth every time he opens it. I lost track of the number of times he held press
conferences to plead with his followers to call their elected officials and
tell them to support Obama’s position on the debt negotiations. We don’t know
exactly what Obama’s position was because his explanation was drowned out by
the gentle sound of crickets chirping in the background. This man is an
incompetent fool and has got to be replaced while there is still a country left
for someone to lead.

Then there is the magnificent Republican leadership, what a
job they did for us holding the democrats feet to the fire waiting until we had
them right where they wanted them before finally caving in and giving them
exactly what they wanted. The debt and entitlement reform should have been THE
topic of discussion during the upcoming election cycle and providing the
democrats with political cover in exchange for a few token spending cuts is
unforgivable, and what was it all for? Did we preserve The United States AAA
credit rating? Did we protect the stock markets from huge losses? Did we cut a
deal that would allow employers to start hiring and investors to start
investing? The answer to those and many other similar questions is a resounding
NO! So why did the Republicans in the Senate cave when their country needed
them most? The answer is that they are terrified of what the media will say
about them.

Listen up Republicans, the media does not love you, they
have never loved you, and they will never love you. The media has despised you
and everything that you stand for since the moment you chose to pursue your
first elected office and do it as a republican.  The media is going to use their position to
misinform, manipulate and deceive the public no matter what you do so stop
trying to please the media and start showing a little leadership or get out of
the way and let someone with a spine have your job. There is no point in
working to get Republican control of the Senate if all we are doing is
replacing members of the Democrat party with Republicans who act like Democrats.

Last but not least, why are we forming yet another special committee
to do the job that all the other committees aren’t willing to do? Obama formed
a special commission to make recommendations on the economy and spending, and
when he didn’t like their recommendations he ignored it, What is yet another committee
going to accomplish, and why does anyone think it will work? Does adding the
word super give these individuals accounting powers beyond the abilities of
ordinary accountants, are we going to solve our debt problems with some new 21st
century accounting gimmicks, or will this simply be another group with no real
power, and no real desire to solve anything, and even if they do make some real
recommendations what is to keep Obama from ignoring them the way he ignores
American immigration law or his responsibility to consult congress before
committing our troops to a new war front in Libya?

We have a Super Committee that is there to provide direction
and solve these problems when they arise; it’s called the United States
Congress. The need for men and women of character in elected office has never
been more apparent, the new election cycle is approaching, and it’s time for
the American taxpayer to make himself heard, let these spineless parasites know
that the future we are concerned about is the future of our children and our
children’s children, not their next election.
